-Wie motivierst du dich an einem bad day?
Sich daran zu erinnern, dass das Leben in Gottes Hand ist. Alles, was ich zu tun habe, ist Gott zu folgen und mein Bestes zu geben. Oh, der Sommer!!!!! Ich habe fast keine bad days im Sommer. Ich sitze nie im Schatten, ich gehe immer auf der sonnigsten Seite der Straße.
Die Hitze der Sonne ist meine größte Motivation. Es ist ein Geschenk, das ich definitiv nicht für selbstverständlich nehme.
-Was war deine beste und was war deine schwierigste Arbeitserfahrung bisher?
Jede schwierige Erfahrung ist mit Abstand betrachtet eine gute Erfahrung gewesen. Als Michaela Honies und die Wedding Affairs Plattform zusammen aufbauten, hatten wir für lange Zeit Kopfschmerzen.
Aber wenn wir uns den heutigen Markt ansehen, wie er sich entwickelt hat, seit wir für dessen Verbesserung gearbeitet haben – sehr fühlen wir uns schon sehr zufrieden, dass wir einen Unterschied gemacht haben, etwas anderes kreiert haben.
Meine beste Arbeitserfahrung war definitiv der Wechsel von meiner Karriere als internationale Politikwissenschafterin hin zur Designerin. Ich liebe auch die Politikwissenschaft und war sehr gut darin. Ich liebe es auch, Designerin zu sein und bin sehr gut darin.
Ich liebe Herausforderungen und mir selbst etwas zu beweisen. Der erste Weg meiner Karriere war erfüllend an Erfahrungen und erfolgreich. Der zweite Weg als Designerin ist dies auch.
Und als Zugabe habe ich die Genugtuung, eine alte Familientradition fortzuführen. Die wunderschöne Arbeit meiner Großmutter und meiner Tante – in einer Art, von der ich weiß, sie wären sehr stolz auf mich.
-Was macht dich glücklich?
Meine Famile, Freunde, Reisen. Wenn alles gut mit meinen Liebsten ist, fühle ich mich stark und kreativ.
Wenn ich an Plätze reise, wo Street Markets, Sonnenschein und Menschen sind, die ich bewegen kann und mit denen ich locker plaudern kann.
Dann bin ich erfüllt von der Art Energie, die ich liebe.
-Was hat dich motiviert, zu gründen?
Meine Motivation war sehr komplex. Ich wollte meine wundervolle Familientradition am Leben erhalten. Ich bin im Atelier meiner Großmutter und meiner Tante aufgewachsen. Ich habe schon in der Vorschule Blumenkränze geflochten. Auf der anderen Seite war ich eine Fremde in diesem Land. Ich war dabei, meine kleine Familie zu kreieren, ohne die logistische Unterstützung meiner großen Latino-Familie.
Ich wollte dranbleiben, beruflich aktiv zu sein. Aber ich wollte auch bei allen Schritten der Entwicklung meiner Kinder dabei sein.
Wie sich die Dinge gefügt haben, ist ein Geschenk.

-How do you motivate yourself on a bad day?
To remember, that my life is in God’s hands. All I have to do is to follow Him and give my very best. Oh!!!!! And the Summer!!!!! I barely have bad days in the Summer, I never sit on the shade, and always walk on the sunniest side of the streets. The heat of the sun is one of my greatest motivators, it is a blessing I definitely do not take for granted.
-What was your best and what was your worst working experience so far?
Every difficult experience I had, when left behind and looked back at, became a good one. When Michaela Honies and I were putting the Wedding Affairs platform together, we had headaches for a very long time.
The wedding market in Austria was and is very small for all our aspirations… But today we look at how the market developed since we started working for its improvement. We feel then very satisfied, that we made a difference.
My best experience was definitely the shift from my international political science carrier into my designer one. I loved the first one and was very good at it. I equally love the second one, and I am also very good at it. I like challenges, I like proving myself to myself.
The first course of my professional life was rich in experiences and successful. The second one is also, and I in addition have the satisfaction of carrying on an old family tradition, the beautiful work of my grandmother and aunt in a way they surely would and are, respectively, very proud of me.
-What makes you happy?
My family, my friends, and traveling. When all is fine with them, I feel powerful and creative. When I travel to places where there are street markets, plenty of sun shine and people I can touch, talk to without ceremony, I refill myself with the kind of energy I love.
-What was your motivation to found?
My motivation was very complex: I wanted to keep my wonderful family tradition alive.
I grew up in my grandmother’s and aunt’s atelier, I was literally involved in the overall creative and production processes from very early age. I can remember binding flower wreaths when I was still in pre-school.
On the other hand, I was a foreigner in this country, creating my new small family, without the logistical support of my big Latino one. I wanted to continue being professionally active, at the same time that I wanted to be present at all the stages of my children’s development steps. The way things happened was a blessing.
